“We believe that everyone is called by God to have an impact in this world. The Bible teaches us that what we sow we will reap.

We have created our Citipointe Internship Academy to help you discover and confirm God’s calling for your life. As you purposefully choose to set aside this next season and sow the raw materials of calling, study and training, we know that you will reap a world-changing, God-glorifying destiny. We are more committed than ever to see men and women rise up to be all God has called them to be. Heaven applauds you for prayerfully giving this year of your life to God and trusting your future to his faithful hands. We know that in the end, we as a church and you as an individual will all be better for this investment. We know you will give this year your all and live in a way that unmistakably influences our world for good and for God.”

The Heart of Internship

The heart behind the Internship ultimately is to see the church flourish in such a way that brings more of heaven to earth and in the end sees more of earth going to heaven. This means being intentional in developing and raising Jesus followers in our local churches, who bear weight and can be used by God to advance His kingdom.

You have heard the call in one way or another to grow your leadership capacity and capability. As such, it is our joint responsibility to steward your faith to maximise your investment in the Citipointe Internship Academy. The heart behind anything is shown in the form of its expression. Citipointe Church has a unique expression of doing what we do. Our leaders have taken the time and intentional focus to put in writing their heart to help people understand and lead in our church environment. This document is called our Heartbeat Document. In it you will find who we are, what we do, why and how we do it. Everything is intentional and has a purpose. We will also be discussing this during lectures on orientation day.

Calendar & Curriculum

The Internship Curriculum is designed to develop well-rounded leaders through a focus on leadership, personal development, doctrine, and theology. Interns will engage in dynamic teaching, practical ministry training, and intensive sessions that deepen their biblical understanding and equip them for real-world ministry. This approach ensures that participants grow spiritually, intellectually, and practically, preparing them for impactful ministry and kingdom influence.

The Citipointe Internship will be run across 2025/2026. This year will be divided by two blocks known as semesters. The dates for these semesters are as follows:

  • December 25th - January 2nd

SEMESTER TWO - 15 WEEKS

Lectures, Majors & Sunday's

Days for “majors” will be assigned in conjunction with your supervisor and what works best for the department in which you are doing your major. For example, interns doing a major with Youth Society will most likely have Wednesday’s as their day to practically outwork their major (this is an example only).

A major goal of the internship is to develop and grow holistic leaders. This means training all interns in the fundamental aspects of a local church. This experience will be outworked practically on Sunday, Tuesday full day, a practical day in your major and events/celebrations throughout the year.

All interns will be required to be available for Tuesday’s, Sunday’s and another day for the major. As an intern, You will be required to serve all Sunday services and for any church wide events, such as Men on Fire Conference, Vision Sundays, Team Nights, Faith Love Hope Sunday, Christmas events, Easter weekend etc

It is also necessary that each intern has access to a laptop or tablet for study purposes, both during and outside class time. There are forms and ministry portfolio elements required for the internship that will need to be completed online through our online platform.
